Clogged Garbage Disposal

The problem associated with the clogged garbage disposal is that they get jammed very frequently. The things that are thrown in this particular garbage disposal are the peels of the potato, shells of an egg etc. The peels of the potato contain starch in a high amount. So, when they are thrown in the dustbins, the starch materials become in solid state and thus, clog the drainage system. If the water does not pass through the drain properly, then also it can cause certain problems in the drainage system.

For cleaning the two parts, you should use the tool named as the snake or the one known as the auger. The cable present in it goes into a deep position removing the clog present in it.

To remove the trap, in which the wastes are stored, the first and the most important step is to change its shape. If you want to remove the traps, you can do it in an easy manner if they are made of plastic material. On the other hand, if the units are made of metal, you have to do a bit of hard work in cleaning it. It is very important to keep a bucket made of plastic material at the bottom side of the trap. The next step that you should use is to move the snake or auger tool in a slow manner.
